Replay

It’s the final turn of the ferries wheel
You and I float upwards into the night
Halfway up there’s the light of the town
Of starry skies and panoramas
Inside my right hand there’s warmth
Someday it’ll shine over someone else
The rhythm starts to beat faster
My heart screaming out your name

Exchanging a promise, how and
By what magic will we someday meet again?
I’m sorry, thank you, goodbye,
Only words I didn’t want to add seem to come out
In the future where I feel so faint and astounded,
My heart can only cover.
Eternity will often resemble those ten minutes
In those times, I’ll think (of you)
Turning, turning, look at us in the night
In the darkness, searching for light
Darling, beloved,
I think of you and it causes pain in my chest
The dead of night, still on the ferries wheel
We fetch up things left behind to take them
Tears of instant-dry glue
They attach to my open wounds
Ah, that’s it. I’m such a person.
Before meeting you, I hated myself
So inside the most important place in my heart,
I call out your name.
Turning, turning, my heart again in the night,
In the darkness, searches for you
Darling, beloved,
I don’t know how long before the light goes out
I don’t need defined things somehow
Sadness is drawn out through tears
It’s alright. That’s just me.
With an empty right palm,
the remaining warmth is just troublesome.

I closed my eyes. My memories fell.
Stars twinkled and sang
For a hundred years that beating resounds,
your voice reaches out.

Around and around, thinking of you
Once, once but I lost you
Turning, turning, the way we were on that day
Comes to mind in the night

Ah, the same again
When I turn back, then it’s morning
Red. Blue. Dreams. Lies. The colored sky.
Coming home. The first train. Sunlight. The window.
The glittering world flowing through it
Already my hand is left cold,
It’s goodbye.
